Opus 8 is particularly excited to be performing their next concert in the extraordinarily resonant space of the Church of the Holy Protection of the Mother of God.

While many choral enthusiasts will have heard and sung the music of Charles V. Stanford, and Herbert Howells, this concert is a rare opportunity to hear their most demanding and underperformed motets.

Argentinian composer Francesco del Pino was one of the winners of the Soundstreams Bridges Composers programme in 2022, and we'll be singing his wonderful musical palindrome 'I Will'.

From the ravishing renaissance sound world of Richard Dering and Robert Ramsey, to the contemporary works of Rosephanye Powell, Eleanor Daley, and Bob Chilcott, this concert traces a musical thread across time and promises to open your ears to something unexpected.
